Vodafone’s charities.connected initiative is open to any registered charity that would benefit from free connectivity, either to improve its digital capability, extend its services or help the individuals and families it supports get online. Registered charities across Scotland can apply for the free connectivity, in the form of SIM cards with 40GB data a month, plus free calls and texts, for six months [here].
Lorraine McGrath, CEO at Simon Community Scotland said: “Over the last few years Simon Community Scotland has been blazing a trail with our digital inclusion work. We have provided almost 500 devices through 2022, also providing data and training. Our work has found that digital inclusion is vital in helping people through and out of homelessness. Thank you so much to Vodafone for recognising how important this is and for supporting our work.”
Nigel Gallear digital inclusion manager at simon community Scotland said: “this support from Vodafone will enable us to sustain connectivity of the participants in our Get Connected 500 scheme for a further 6 months, and enable them to continue to enjoy the benefits of digital. Thank you, Vodafone”
